Activities on the farm

With almost 100 acres of rolling hills, grassy fields, woodlands, and incredible views, there are endless ways to walk, hike, and explore the property! Head up the big hill in the late afternoon to watch the sunset from the peak of the property. Enjoy expansive views of the farm and the Catskill and Berkshire mountains in the distance. Hike up into the woods to find the old campsite and cabin. Bring your bicycle or borrow one of ours and challenge yourself on some of the amazing hills in the area. There are maintained pathways around the pastures and trails up into the woods.

Open May to September, our 20ft by 40ft inground swimming pool is a fantastic place to cool off, get some exercise or just have some fun. Towels and a variety of pool toys and floats are available to use. We have a small fitness room in the pool area. It has a treadmill, bench press and some weights.

Currently, the horses residing on the farm are mostly retired. There are several retired thoroughbred broodmares, retired racehorses, and our son's retired show pony, Shady. New in 2024: we are growing two nice rows of raspberries at the base of the big hill. We have also brought chickens back to the farm! A group of about 20 hens are moving into the Hen Pen, a recently renovated round pen, and we expect to start having eggs to share with guests this summer!

Other activities on the farm include:
Sledding (sleds available to borrow), Croquet (set available to borrow), baseball/softball (we have a pitching machine to practice your swing!), nature scavenger hunts, volleyball, badminton (nets are set up near the pool in the summer). Ping-Pong at the main barn.
